about

This song was inspired by a dream i had. There were a lot of wild colours in this one, especially blue and yellow. I dreamed i had a blue shellfish with yellow stripes taped to my hand. In a way its a song about the drugs our own bodies produce and addiction to fear and risk taking. Colours do play a strong role, hence the line in the chorus 'paint me on the floor'. A very sensual song.

lyrics

the bluest hour has never been my friend
it's a place where people go
I got shellfish growing on my hand
the colours permeate my dreams

and at times i can never tell
if I’m wrong or if im right
you just act out what i feel but dare not say
I’m just milk spilt on the floor

chorus:
save me from myself
shave me off your skin
tie me to a wall
paint me on the floor

i’m nowhere and it feels like home
it's a place where people go
the colours grow like a tangerine dream
the biggest drug is taking risk

and at times i suspect that i
I’m a prisoner of myself
I’m erased as i watch myself
I’m just what i do right now

chorus:
peel me like a grape
clear me from my skin
put me back in place
leave me while you can

chorus:
save me from myself
shave me off your skin
tie me to a wall
paint me on the floor
